The Money Test

Psalm 24:1

“The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.”

God Owns It All

God owns it. We manage it. What we do first reveals who we trust most.

Three Forms of Giving
Fill in the main word as you follow along.
1.
Bringing the first 10% of your income back to God through the church.
2.
Anything you give above the tithe.
3.
Giving directly to people in need.
Malachi 3:10

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse… ‘Test me in this,’ says the Lord Almighty.”

Proverbs 3:9

“Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the firstfruits of all your crops.”

2 Corinthians 9:6–8

6 Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.

7 Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.

How Do You Approach an Offering?
Prayerfully Decide in your heart.
Willingly Not under pressure.
Cheerfully God loves a cheerful giver.
Matthew 6:19–21

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth… But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven… For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Key Points
Tithing is about God getting our hearts.
You don’t give God what’s left. You give God what’s first.
The first is a test.
A battle after obedience doesn’t mean you made the wrong decision.
Don’t decide every paycheck. Decide once.
The tithe is the floor, not the ceiling.
The most fun thing you can do with money is give it away.
You’re not losing it. You’re transferring it.
What’s Your Next Step?

Bring the tithe. Give an offering. Help someone in need.

We give because God gave first.
